Enjo Jira Data Center Integration Guide

Pre-requisite: Whitelist Enjo IP addresses

Before initiating the integration process, it is crucial to whitelist Enjo IP addresses to ensure connectivity between Enjo and your Jira Data Center. The inbound IP address from Enjo servers is 44.228.165.179, while the outbound IP address for webhook communication is 52.33.191.85 on port 443.

Connection Steps

The connection process involves several steps to successfully link your Jira Data Center with Enjo. Begin by logging into the Enjo dashboard, navigating to Settings, selecting Apps, clicking on +Connect Apps, and choosing Jira. Follow the prompts to add a new Jira Server connection, enter your Jira URL, create a Jira App link, and finalize the connection.

Settings

In the Settings section of the Enjo dashboard, users can manage the connected Jira account, view the workspace Jira details, and delete the connection if needed. Additionally, attribution text is automatically added to Jira requests created in Slack or Teams, providing clarity on the request's origin.

User Mapping

Enabling User Mapping in Enjo allows administrators to associate Enjo users with Atlassian accounts for seamless collaboration. By configuring User Mapping under Settings, Apps, Jira, administrators can match Enjo users with their corresponding Atlassian email IDs, facilitating better communication and task assignment.

Automatic Mapping of Users

Enjo's Automatic Mapping feature streamlines the process of connecting Jira and Enjo accounts. Leveraging profile match confidence, Enjo automates user mapping, potentially achieving a 100% match rate based on your Jira setup. The mapped accounts will appear as unverified in the User Mapping section of the Enjo web app.

Guest Facilitation

Enabling Guest Facilitation empowers unverified users to create and update Jira requests with the approval of an administrator. Guest user comments are attributed to the Facilitator's Account to maintain transparency and tracking. Verified administrators can continue using their accounts for Jira activities, while unverified users benefit from guest facilitation.

Personal settings

In the Personal Settings section, users can verify their Jira accounts to maximize Enjo's functionalities, including creating Jira tickets from Slack or Microsoft Teams. By logging in and verifying their Jira account, users can access their account information under 'My Account' and even link a different Jira account if needed.

Enabling integration between Jira and platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and websites offers a seamless ticketing experience. Admins can automate ticket creation, configure notifications, and enhance collaboration between IT teams. Whether it's creating Jira tickets directly from Slack or managing ticket updates efficiently, Enjo provides a comprehensive solution for improved workflow.
