Compute Engine Pricing
Compute Engine pricing is calculated based on factors such as disk size, machine type memory, and network usage, measured in JEDEC binary gigabytes (GB) or IEC gibibytes (GiB). Prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD), but alternative currency options are available. The pricing sheet details charges for various resources, including VM instances, Spot VM instances, networking, GPUs, disks, images, and more.
General-Purpose Machine Type Family
The C4 machine types in the general-purpose machine type family offer options such as on-demand pricing, resource-based commitment pricing for 1-year and 3-year terms, and flexible CUD consumption rates. Prices are provided for predefined vCPUs and memory, allowing users to choose the configuration that best fits their needs. Spot prices offer significant discounts off on-demand prices, with adjustments possible up to once every 30 days.
Compute-Optimized Machine Type Family
Within the compute-optimized machine type family, users can select from standard, high-memory, and high-CPU machine types. Each type offers a range of virtual CPUs, memory options, and corresponding pricing. Spot prices for these machine types provide substantial discounts, making them a cost-effective choice for users who can take advantage of dynamic pricing changes.
Memory-Optimized Machine Type Family
The memory-optimized machine type family includes machine types with varying amounts of memory to suit different workloads. Pricing is based on hourly and monthly rates for each machine type, providing users with flexibility in their resource usage. Spot prices offer additional savings for those willing to adapt to price changes.
Storage-Optimized Machine Type Family
For users with storage-intensive requirements, the storage-optimized machine type family offers machine types optimized for storage performance. Pricing for these machine types is outlined on an hourly and monthly basis, enabling users to budget effectively for their storage needs. Spot prices can further reduce costs for storage-optimized instances.
Accelerator-Optimized Machine Type Family
The accelerator-optimized machine type family caters to users in need of specialized hardware acceleration. Pricing details for these machine types are provided for on-demand, resource-based commitments, and flexible CUD consumption rates. Users can benefit from discounts with spot prices, allowing for cost-efficient utilization of accelerators.
