Artwork and Document Setup
When preparing your files for printing with GreenerPrinter, it is crucial to adhere to specific guidelines to ensure a smooth printing process. Your document size should match the trim size plus a 0.125" bleed on all sides. This requirement guarantees that your final printed product will have clean edges and prevent any white borders. To verify these settings, you can use existing InDesign or Illustrator documents by selecting File -> Document Setup. If your project involves elements like perforations, folds, foils, or varnishes, or if you have die cuts or custom shapes, it is essential to account for these features during the document setup phase.
Image Set-up
Another crucial aspect of file preparation is ensuring that your images are set up correctly. Images should have a resolution of at least 300 pixels per inch (ppi) to guarantee optimal clarity and sharpness in the final print. In Adobe programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, you can verify and adjust the image resolution in the Image Size menu. Additionally, images should be in CMYK or grayscale to ensure accurate color representation during printing. Once you have completed all the necessary image setup steps, you are ready to save and export your files for printing with Greenerprinter.
Exporting Your File
For a seamless printing experience with GreenerPrinter, the preferred file format for your orders is PDF. When you send a PDF file, you help expedite the printing process and avoid unexpected issues. While GreenerPrinter accepts files from Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, using PDF files will enhance efficiency. In some cases, sending files in alternative formats may result in additional charges and longer turnaround times. Remember to delete any instruction layers if you are using templates before saving and uploading your files. To create a PDF from Adobe applications, follow the specified instructions, including selecting the Adobe PDF (Print) format and configuring settings like bleeds, color conversion, and more.
