Multi-Mission Combat Ships
In May 2017, the Saudi Arabian Navy signed an agreement with Lockheed Martin to produce four multi-mission combat ships with high maneuverability and effective combat capabilities in coastal and open-sea operations. These ships aim to counter contemporary maritime and economic security threats, providing the Kingdom with enhanced naval capabilities.
THAAD Missile Defense System
Lockheed Martin supports efforts by Saudi Arabia and the United States in acquiring the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, one of the most advanced missile defense systems globally. THAAD's ability to confront short and medium-range ballistic missile threats contributes to global and regional security, promoting job creation and economic prosperity in both the US and Saudi Arabia.
Patriot PAC-3 Missile System
Lockheed Martin's Patriot PAC-3 missiles provide high-precision, target-hitting capabilities, ensuring unmatched missile defense in Saudi Arabia. This system effectively counters threats like ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft through hit-to-kill technology, delivering superior kinetic energy to destroy targets.
Sikorsky Black Hawk Helicopter
Lockheed Martin, through Sikorsky, is providing Saudi Arabia with 57 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters. These multi-mission helicopters enhance the Kingdom's fleet capabilities, efficiency, effectiveness, and reduce operational and support costs. This partnership aims to support Saudi Arabia in developing national helicopter manufacturing capabilities.
C-130J Super Hercules
For over 50 years, Lockheed Martin has been serving Saudi Arabia, initially delivering the first C-130 airlifter in 1965. Today, the Kingdom operates one of the world's largest fleets of Hercules airlifters, including C-130J Super Hercules variants for in-flight refueling capabilities. This enhances Saudi Arabia's airlift services significantly, contributing to military success.
Satellite Solutions
Lockheed Martin collaborated with Arabsat and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology to manufacture and launch two LM 2100 satellites, Arabsat 6A and Hellas Sat-4/SaudiGeoSat-1. These satellites provide advanced communication capabilities for TV, internet, phone, and secure communications across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Saudi Assembly, Integration, and Testing Program
Lockheed Martin's presence in Saudi Arabia includes training initiatives to nurture Saudi talent and ensure the Kingdom's aviation and defense industry sustainability. The Assembly, Integration, and Testing Training Program, in partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, focuses on building skilled talents to support satellite communication disciplines.
Advanced Electronics Sustainability Center
Since the 1990s, Lockheed Martin has collaborated with Advanced Electronics Company to develop sustainability initiatives supporting a range of products including targeting pods, navigation systems, and night vision systems. This partnership equips Saudi Arabia and the Royal Saudi Air Force with advanced capabilities for successful maintenance of their defense fleets.
Prince Mohammad bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship
In 2016, Lockheed Martin partnered with King Abdullah Economic City, the MiSK Foundation, and Babson College to launch the Prince Mohammad bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship. This college aims to support and nurture Saudi talents in sciences, research, and applied studies by providing world-class practical learning opportunities.
