The board consists of industry experts from diverse backgrounds, each bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table.

The Fashion Advisory Board comprises a distinguished group of industry professionals, each with a unique perspective and expertise. From sustainability business strategists and creative directors to sourcing professionals and sustainability analysts, the board members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. Notable members include Rachel K. Lincoln, Director of Sustainability and Social Impact at PrAna, renowned for her contributions to sustainable apparel; and Edward Stoner, an insights and strategy consultant with a focus on sustainable materials marketing.

Members like Archana Archana from Steve Madden, who brings over a decade of experience in consumer goods supply chains, and Tusharika Jaipuriyar, an innovator in leather production, are instrumental in shaping the industry's future. Led by Avedis Hovsep Seferian, President & CEO of WRAP, a recognized expert in social compliance and responsible sourcing, the Fashion Advisory Board plays a pivotal role in shaping the industry landscape. Emily Siegel, SVP of Design at PopSockets, leverages her expertise to drive strategic design direction and brand awareness, connecting product, design, and marketing seamlessly. Together, these board members collaborate to set new standards for sustainability, transparency, and innovation in the fashion industry.

The Role of the Sourcing Expert Team

In addition to the Fashion Advisory Board, Material Exchange's sourcing expert team comprises industry suppliers and service providers who rigorously test and refine the solutions proposed by the FAB. These experts, including Cenker Akdemir, a business development director with extensive experience in denim washing, and Cathryn Widdowson, a director specializing in connecting material suppliers with shoe makers, provide valuable insights and feedback to ensure that Material Exchange's solutions are robust and industry-leading.
