History of the Intrepid Museum
Established in 1982, the Intrepid Museum acquired the WWII aircraft carrier Intrepid, a National Historic Landmark. Each year, over one million visitors from around the globe come to explore its collections. The museum's mission is to promote history, science, and service through immersive exhibitions, honoring heroes while educating and inspiring future generations.

The Fisher House Foundation, known for constructing 'comfort homes' at military and VA medical centers, has aided over 455,000 families. The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund focuses on serving military personnel with Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress by building Intrepid Spirit Centers at various military bases.
