Efficient De-Listing Requests for Solid-State Lighting Products

Requesting Delisting of Products

Manufacturers can request to have their listed products de-listed from the Qualified Product List (QPL) by submitting an SSL Update Application through the Application Portal. This process allows manufacturers to update the status of their products effectively.

Unique Guidance for Surveillance Testing Products

Specific guidance exists for products chosen for Surveillance Testing. Manufacturers with products under Surveillance Testing should reach out to surveillance@designlights.org for further instructions on the delisting process.

Steps to Request Delisting

To request de-listing of products, manufacturers need to follow a series of steps: creating or logging in to their Manufacturer Account, creating a MyDLC account if not already done, accessing the Application Portal, starting a new application, and submitting a Solid-State Lighting OEM or Private Label Update application.

Completing the Application Process

During the application process, manufacturers will need to provide essential information, upload necessary documentation, and complete an online questionnaire. Additionally, they must include a QPL download of the products to be de-listed and a signed statement on company letterhead explaining the reason for de-listing.

Terms of Use Agreement

Before submitting the application, manufacturers must agree to the Terms of Use, which includes various compliance statements. Applicants without the required authority can have the signing authority create a DLC account under the company’s organization for digital signing.

Important Considerations

It's essential to note that de-listing OEM products will automatically de-list corresponding Private Label products as well. Manufacturers should include all associated child products in the QPL download. Any products de-listed mistakenly may require a new application for re-listing.

Application Forms

The necessary application forms for the delisting process are available on the Application Portal to aid manufacturers in submitting accurate and complete applications efficiently.

Qualified Level 2 (Formerly Family Grouping) Product Submission Guidelines

Eligibility Criteria for Level 2 Applications

To qualify for a Level 2 application, a group of products must meet specific criteria. The family group should consist of a single LED package/module/array or a standardized set of LED packages/modules/arrays. The fixture must showcase scalability or modular use of identical LED components across electronics, optics, heat sinking, and other relevant features. While certain design parameters can vary, they should not impact performance significantly. Multiple driver variations and LED drive currents are permissible within a family group. The physical housing and assembly of products in the family must share identical material, construction, and shape with differing dimensions in sub-groups where applicable.
