Ground-Based Space Object Tracking
Slingshot Orbital offers ground-based space object tracking through its innovative Slingshot Global Sensor Network (SGSN). This network consists of over 150 sensors across 20+ global locations, providing high-revisit-rate spacecraft tracking. The network includes gimbaled telescopes and staring arrays designed to support LEO object detection and tracking at scale. Additionally, the system captures historical data, making millions of observations available for post-event analysis. With the development of 8 proprietary optical sensor systems, including narrow and wide field-of-view telescopes and staring arrays, Slingshot ensures optimal day and nighttime coverage at various wavelengths.
Multi-Sensor Data Fusion
Slingshot's Multiple Frame Assignment Space Tracker (MFAST) software offers advanced uncorrelated track processing, orbit determination, and maneuver detection by fusing data from multiple sensors. This real-time solution supports various space surveillance tasks, such as UCT resolution, breakup processing, and maneuver detection. The software is platform agnostic, allowing it to run efficiently on a wide range of hardware setups. MFAST is widely used by the US Space Force and other partners for tracking objects across multiple orbital regimes using diverse sensor types.
