Enhancing Airborne Connectivity with Thales FlytLINK Airtime and Iridium Network

Thales FlytLINK Airtime: Providing Reliable Airborne Connectivity Worldwide

Thales FlytLINK Airtime is designed to offer airborne connectivity and communication with global coverage through the Iridium network, ensuring Certus services with a dependable, resilient connection in all weather conditions. This service caters to civilian and military aircraft, including business jets, helicopters, RPAS, and small drones, supporting various mission types from business to special operations.

Monthly and Yearly Subscription Plans

Thales FlytLINK Airtime provides flexible subscription options tailored to the user's needs. Users can choose from monthly or yearly satellite service plans or opt for personalized subscriptions, with monthly subscriptions starting at just US$64. These plans offer a cost-effective way to ensure connectivity for aircraft operations.

The Power of Iridium's LEO Network

Iridium's Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) network, featuring 66 crosslinked satellites, allows access to voice and data services globally. The network's L-Band spectrum facilitates cockpit connectivity worldwide, delivering reliable services even in adverse weather conditions such as fog and rain. With multiple look angles, Iridium's satellites enable pilots to maintain a line of sight connection regardless of the aircraft's location.

How FlytLINK Airtime Works

Thales' Airtime plans are terminal-independent, simplifying the connection process to any Iridium Certus Aviation approved equipment. From portable platforms with small modems to commercial aviation systems like Thales FlytLINK Satcom, these plans ensure seamless connectivity. Compatible with various Iridium Certus modems, the plans offer bandwidth efficiencies based on user requirements and functions like flight planning, graphical weather updates, emergency services, and more.

Flexible Data & Voice Plans

Thales FlytLINK Airtime offers a range of flexible data and voice plans suitable for airplanes, helicopters, and UAVs. Users can select shared data pools, monthly plans starting at US$64, flexible plans with 3, 6, or 12-month durations, or extended plans for long-term commitments. These plans cater to varying data consumption needs, providing scalable options to suit different operational requirements.

Secure Ground Infrastructure and Support

Thales ensures secure ground infrastructure to support the delivery of Airtime services, backed by a dedicated 24/7 customer support team. Customers can set thresholds for usage notifications, allowing them to manage consumption effectively. Additionally, plans and data pools can be easily adjusted during the contract period to accommodate changing data requirements, ensuring a seamless and reliable service experience.
