The Viasat KG-255X is a rugged and flexible National Security Agency (NSA)-certified High Assurance Inline Network Encryptor (INE) designed to provide enterprise or tactical network-level Internet Protocol (IP) data protection up to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI). It offers 2 Gbps (aggregate) processing power, helping to reduce network overhead while seamlessly integrating into various networks.

Key Features of KG-255X

The KG-255X offers ultimate flexibility with both 200 Mbps and 2 Gbps aggregate processing power options. It supports Layer 3 HAIPE or True Layer 2 EDE-CIS and VLAN, providing versatility in speed and network protocols. The device's software-programmable architecture ensures adaptability to evolving cybersecurity requirements. Additionally, it supports standard copper, fiber single-mode/multi-mode small form-factor pluggables (SFPs) commonly used in networking equipment.

Powerful Performance and Management

The KG-255X features a thermal design and packaging that enables effective power management, high reliability, and lower touch temperatures. Users can remotely rekey a network of HAIPE devices from a secure location using HAIPE-to-HAIPE over-the-air/net keying. Furthermore, the device enhances performance over high-latency links with embedded Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) acceleration (xPeP). It supports configurations for one-to-one, many-to-one, and many-to-many multicast scenarios, improving flexibility and reducing administrative overhead.
